In the Catskills, an old road going through a forest sanctuary. The Catskills were an interesting place to visit, there was a small family cemetary near this little forest with some markers over two-hundred years old.

i like this a lot, very nice capture. this place looks almost mysterious :)
You did a wonderful job - a lot of the pictures I try to take in the woods end up with bright spots of light scattered everywhere that are too distracting. I just love shots like this, and this one especially.

how did you get the proper exposure? usually my shots end up too bright where the sun hits the leaves.. filter or photoshop? or perhaps you adjusted your shutter speed/aperture?

Thanks :) It would have been much more calming without the billions of bugs flying around our heads. It really was a cool place though.
Gosh, I know. I can't stand bugs swarming around me, especially when I'm trying to do something important. Like drawing in the woods; beautiful but annoying at the same time with the creepy crawlies.

I did have some problems with exposure in this one. I normally keep the camera on aperture priority, but it's calculating the exposure however it wants. I think I did actually have to use exposure compensation to darken the shot though.
